The Fastest Fashion Show on Earth supports research of the Translational Cancer Research Unit (TCRU) of the GZA Hospitals – Sint Augustinus campus

With the organization of the The Fastest Fashion Show on Earth, Effective Media now wishes to contribute to a research by Translational Cancer Research Unit (TCRU) of the GZA Hospitals – campus Saint Augustine.

The TCRU research group at the Oncology Center of the Sint-Augustinus Hospital (GZA) in Antwerp has been conducting research for decades to better understand the behavior of cancer cells in the liver.

Metastasis, or metastasis, is the main reason people die from cancer. Numerous tumors, including colon cancer, breast cancer and melanoma, give rise to metastases in the liver.

Treatment of patients with liver metastases is still a challenge. Expanding knowledge of the biology of liver metastases may contribute to the development of more effective treatments.

Our contribution will allow us to study on a microscopic scale the communication between immune cells and cancer cells in the liver. This study is important because we know that once a patient has liver metastases, activation of immune cells by immunotherapy is less successful. Thus, this study may help improve the success of immunotherapy in patients with liver metastases.

We donate the proceeds of The Party to this initiative.
